Contrast Thermal Therapy: Discover our DIP Circuit
OCT 5, 2025 DIP on the Roof
At DIP on the Roof, we believe wellness is best experienced through balance. That’s why we’ve designed the DIP Circuit, our signature approach to contrast thermal therapy — a practice of alternating between hot and cold environments to restore the body, calm the mind, and energize the spirit.
What Is Contrast Thermal Therapy?
Contrast thermal therapy involves alternating between hot and cold environments to stimulate the body. Typically, this means spending time in a sauna, steam room, or hot pool, followed by a refreshing dip in a cold plunge, ice bath, or cool shower. The cycle is then repeated multiple times.
This deliberate shift between heat and cold creates a “pump” effect on the circulatory system, moving blood, oxygen, and nutrients more efficiently throughout the body.
DIP on the Roof, our facilities are made for this experience:
Hot Pool (38-40°C) – Melt tension, open circulation, and prepare muscles.
Cold Plunge (10–12°C) – Refresh and awaken the nervous system.
Herbal Steam Room (45–50°C) – Detoxify through gentle heat and humidity.
Sauna (80–90°C) – Traditional dry heat to cleanse, strengthen, and calm.
Together, these form the DIP Circuit — our guided pathway through thermal contrast.
How to Experience the DIP Circuit
1. Begin with Heat – Enter the sauna, steam room or hot pool to raise your core temperature for 5-10 mins.
2. Cool Down – Take the plunge into our cold pool 30-45 sec for a refreshing shock that invigorates body and mind.
3. Detox & Reset – Move to the steam room for a gentle cleanse and deep breathing.
4. Repeat & Flow – Cycle through the circuit 2–4 times, finding your own rhythm.
Tip: Stay hydrated and take moments of rest between phases for the best results.
Benefits of Contrast Thermal Therapy
1. Boosts Circulation – The alternating temperatures help blood vessels expand and contract, improving overall circulation.
2. Supports Muscle Recovery – Athletes often use this method to reduce soreness and speed up recovery after intense workouts.
3. Strengthens Immunity – Regular practice may enhance the body’s resilience against illness by stimulating the immune system.
4. Reduces Stress – The calming heat followed by an invigorating cold plunge can balance stress hormones and improve mood.
5. Enhances Skin Health – Sweating opens pores while cold water tightens them, leaving skin refreshed and rejuvenated.
6. Promotes Deep Relaxation & Sleep – The contrast therapy cycle helps regulate the nervous system, making it easier to unwind and rest deeply afterward.
